Bye Bye Doldrums

If only it was this easy to bid farewell to this darn pollen allergy! It really is NOT pleasant to have eyes that water constantly, a nose thats a big, red tomato and a voice - well I better not go there. Lets just say that Zoii and Suneel are having a ball imitating the nasal twang I seem to have acquired over night. Hell, even if I say "Badtameezy nahi kero" they burst into uncontrollable laughter.
As for the doldrums, well I'll tell you what pulled me out of them. Meri Amma kay haath k shaami kebab. :) No seriously! She makes the most divine kebabs ever! And the love with which she made them for me, well how could I possibly not have felt better? That and a phone call from one of my most favourite Literarture teacher from College, who's more of a mentor, an inspiration - or as she very rightly says, my 2nd Amma. Although she resides in the US now, she's visiting London these days and I am excited beyond words that InshaAllah I'll be able to meet her. So much to catch up on!
Theres a racket going on in the lounge. Zoran is playing cricket with Nanu. Grand parents are such a precious gift from God. His Nanu, Dadu and Dada jaan all dote on him, as he on them. Such a priceless bond this is. MashaAllah. Zoran is blessed to be surrounded by such immense love Alhamdollilah. And, so am I!
